A few students of Jeanne Dial's Five Step Training Process . . .

Brittany Faulkner (mother), and London Faulkner (daughter riding), of Edmond, Ok winning the 2007 Pinto World Championship in Girls' Leadline. They bested 36 competitors to win the title. London is riding One Terrific Journey AQHA/PtHA/APHA, owned by London's grandmother, Donna Faulkner, Enid, OK.

Here is Brystal Karber and Stylin N Shorts winning the English Pleasure at the 2007 Pinto Congress.

Brystal Karber when she moved up to the APHA Youth 14-18 division after a very competitve run in the 13 & under. She has become quite an accomplished rider and trainer of her own horses. Brystal  earned several high point and year end awards in performance events, including Top 5 at the Pinto World Show. Watch for Brystal and "Zippo's Zoe" in the Western events with "Stylin In Shorts" ridden in English. Her strong events are the pattern classes that she can execute bridleless. Here she is with Ima Bar Code after winning the horsemanship, unanimously under all judges.

Regina Davis and JP My Blue Heaven APHA/PtHA won 6th overall at the 2007 Pinto World Show in Walk/Trot English Equitation. This was Regina's and Blue's first time to compete at the World Show. This pair will be coming back in 2008 to try for more titles in both English and Western classes.

Regina Davis and Zippos Grand Slam, aka Romeo are quite a pair. Regina at 9 was one of the most young accomplished riders I'd seen. She competed and won individual events and all-around competitions in the 13 and under division. She loves showing in the pattern classes and excels in showmanship, trail, horsemanship and equitation. Her goal is to show at the AYQHA World Show and Quarter Horse Congress. She will be riding JP My Blue Heaven in Paint and Pinto Shows this year.
(Update on Regina - see above!)

Eliza Carlton, from New Hampshire, with Huey. Eliza and her mother fly down to Oklahoma every two weeks to ride for three days, then fly home. Eliza placed in either the top 5 or top 10 in every class shown at the 2007 World Show including showmanship, horsemanship, equitation and trail. She will continue to exhibit at Paint and Pinto shows this year, before she going off to college next year.

Watch her bridleless riding in this video. It demonstrates her ability to command her horse with subtle body cues instead of relying on her hands and the horse's mouth. This is the ultimate demonstration of high level riding and what every rider should be striving toward.

Krystal Kirkland has worked very hard with Miss Moxified (April) to develop a keen horsemanship and western riding horse. Krystal accomplished her first flying lead change in horsemanship competition. It's been a long process, but Krystal has learned so much more about her mare and how to train her. She has the knowledge and confidence to help other riders as well. April in the meantime has become a quiet and willing partner. Watch for these two this fall in AQHA novice amateur competition. They are already tough contenders.

Charlotte Harvey and Red Ted, aka Teddy Bear are just beginning their novice amateur career together.  Charlotte and Teddy are just getting to know each other and showing in local horse show with Pinto and APHA as their goal. They show in the pattern classes and have already shown they can do it well. They are quite a pair.

Jan Turner and Suddenly Zipped proved to be tough competitors in the Oklahoma Paint Horse Club by winning the Year End High Point Novice Award. Her favorites events are trail and showmanship. Jan has a new horse in training this year so she'll be absent from the show pen for a while.

Megan Coit and One Giant Step (Tennison), AQHA made the finals in the AYQHA jumping competition. Megan learned the 5 step program and went on to ride with Jerry Erickson Quarter Horses for jumping and hunter training. Jeanne taught Tennison flying lead changes.

Abby Miller consistently won superior event awards and high point awards in 4-H, AYQHA and APHA including the Oklahoma QH High Point Novice Youth Award. She received several Oklahoma Paint Horse Year End Awards as well as APHA Versatility awards and a national Honor Roll title in reining. She placed 8th at the APHA World Show in Youth Reining. She's shown here with Im Basic Black and Lace-Ups. She's attending college which takes up most of her time.

Radonna George and Doc's Uproar won the OPHC Reserve Youth High Point with the minimum number of shows to qualify. She was successful at the Pinto Nationals and World Wide Paint Horse Congress too.

I started this filly. She used to buck as high at the stalls! I can't believe this is the same little POA that I started with - now a champion.
